The African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) entered into an agreement to advance their joint initiatives towards catalyzing agriculture sector investments in Africa, which targets ending hunger and malnutrition and promote wealth throughout the continent.

According to their agreement, their target is to raise up to US$100 million in 5 years, which will support the joint partnership activities.
