Forty cultivars showed scores between 0-2 for leaf Twenty cultivars have shown drought tolerance scores of 0 -3Six cultivars IR75499-73-1-B, V3M-92-1, IR75499-21-1-B, V3M-109-2, IR78997-B-16-B-B-B-SB2, IR78948-B-21-B-B-B could be selected for drought tolerance and leaf rolling, leaf drying with drought score of 0-1. These cultivars were expected to provide higher yield components. The range of yield decline was 10.61g/cluster to 26.06 g/cluster under
water stress condition. Four cultivars with combined drought tolerance, high yield and good quality under reproductive-stage drought stress, the drought-tolerant cultivars (V3M-92-1, IR78997-B-16-B-B-B-SB2, IR75499-73-1-B, and IR78948-B-21-B-B-B) were identified in this study which could be further deployed in rice breeding programs.
