Using diterpen lacton powder extracted from andrographis paniculata (burm.f.) For replacing antibiotic in pig and poultry diet (Author: Vuong Nam Trung) |
288 one day old chicks were collected and randomized in to 6 treatments: T1: control without Diterpen Lacton powder (DLP) and antibiotic; T2, T3, T4, T5: as control plus 0.15, 0.3, 0.45, 0.6% DLD; T6: as control plus 100ppm oxytetracycline + 50ppm tylosine; 12 head/pen, 4 pens/treatment). |
Astract 288 one day old chicks were collected and randomized in to 6 treatments: T1: control without Diterpen Lacton powder (DLP) and antibiotic; T2, T3, T4, T5: as control plus 0.15, 0.3, 0.45, 0.6% DLD; T6: as control plus 100ppm oxytetracycline + 50ppm tylosine; 12 head/pen, 4 pens/treatment). 240 ninety day old crossed pigs were sellected and randomized in to 5 treatments: T1: control without APP and antibiotic; T2, T3, T4: as control plus 0.15, 0.3, 0.45% DLP; T5: as control plus 100ppm oxytetracycline + 50 ppm tylosine; 6 head/pen, 4 pens/treatment. The basal diet for both pig and poultry trials were the same in all the treatments and met the requirements. The parameters recorded were feed intake, weight gain, feed efficiency, mortality, diarrhea, blood biochemical parameters, harm-full organism in feces, antibiotic residue in meat and liver. The results showed that using DLP in broiler diet not only improved growth, feed efficiency, reduced mortality but also replaced completely antibiotic as growth promoter in diet. Similarly, using DLP in fatterner pig diet not only improved growth, feed efficiency, reduced mortality but could replaced completely antibiotic as growth promoter in diet.
