ISAAA Launches Resource Page on TALENs
Wednesday, 2023/07/26 | 07:39:58

ISAAA July 19, 2023

The International Service for the Acquisition of Agri-biotech Applications (ISAAA) has launched a new resource page on transcription activator-like effector nucleases (TALENs), a powerful gene editing tool.

TALENs are highly accurate and can target any DNA sequence. They can also be used to modify DNA within organelles, such as mitochondria. This makes them a versatile tool that can be used to improve the quality of plants and other organisms. In addition to targeting any DNA sequence, TALENs can also discriminate between methylated and unmethylated DNA targets. This is important because methylation can affect the expression of genes.

ISAAA and the 2Blades Foundation have developed a variety of materials to inform the public about TALENs. These materials include news articles, blogs, infographics, publications, and videos. All of these materials are available for free on the ISAAA website.

To learn more about TALENs, visit the ISAAA website today.
