Thus, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) looked into its expertise and experience to initiate actions on how agri-food systems could be modified and contribute towards climate change mitigation.
According to Zitouni Ould-Dada, the deputy director of FAO's Climate and Environment division, FAO was a part of four initiatives launched by the Egyptian Presidency at COP27, which are as follows:
