Building the next generation of rice workers

For more than 50 years, IRRI has been the home of the most brilliant minds in rice research and agriculture. Thousands of scientists from all across the globe had been trained at IRRI, and later on became leaders and policy makers in their fields and home countries. IRRI offers intensive training in rice research with the goal of empowering scientists, farmers, and other rice workers and ensuring that they have the proper knowledge and crop management strategies that they can share with their respective communities.

As an educational institute, IRRI seeks to support capacity building and deliver research to the rice community.

Building the next generation of rice workers. The next generation of rice science and development workers is supported through BS, MS, and PhD research assistance, internships, training, and workshops.

Delivering knowledge to the doorsteps of farmers. Partnerships with NARES, NGOs, universities, and the private sector deliver up-to-date rice farming technologies to farmers.

IRRI's annual training courses are open to rice scientists, researchers, private, and non-government people who work with rice and conduct rice-related research.
