| Oxitec to Conduct Mosquito Technology Tests in the US in 2022 |

In Florida, Oxitec has been invited by its partner, the Florida Keys Mosquito Control District, to continue its landmark pilot project in the Florida Keys that began in April 2021. The pilot project has approvals from the US Environmental Protection Agency, Florida state, and local government. It was designed to evaluate the use of Oxitec mosquitoes in controlling the invasive Aedes aegypti mosquitoes found in the Florida Keys and other regions of the United States. |

Oxitec, the world's leading developer of safe biological pest control solutions, has announced two pilot projects in the United States for 2022.
In Florida, Oxitec has been invited by its partner, the Florida Keys Mosquito Control District, to continue its landmark pilot project in the Florida Keys that began in April 2021. The pilot project has approvals from the US Environmental Protection Agency, Florida state, and local government. It was designed to evaluate the use of Oxitec mosquitoes in controlling the invasive Aedes aegypti mosquitoes found in the Florida Keys and other regions of the United States.
In California, Oxitec is preparing to submit a research request to carry out a pilot project, which is anticipated to be in the city of Visalia, northern Tulare County, in partnership with the Delta Mosquito and Vector Control District (Delta MVCD) which has unanimously given its approval in October 2021 to partner with Oxitec to carry out focused projects in areas that are part of the Delta MVCD's jurisdiction.
