PERFORMCES OF THE CROSSBRED GOAT BETWEEN
BOER AND BÁCH TH ẢO
Bach thao goat breed (BB) and its F1 crossbreds with Boer (OB) producted at Ruminant Reasearch and Traning Center and some farms in Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc provinces during 2002-2005. The results showed that: hairs colour of OB crossbred was over 92% similar Boer breed and 7% similar Bach thao breed. Average daily gain in body weights from birth to 6 months of age 85.38 g for BB and 111.68 g for OB, and from to 6-12 months of age 43.41 g for BB and 118.23g for OB. First kidding ages were 421.6 days for OB and 410.0 days for BB. Calving interval were 270.5 days for OB and 210.01 day for BB. The mortality rate of OB was under 14% from birth to 3 months of age.
